a lot of this stuff ended up in the movie, so it’s weird to look at this and see that pretty much everything good/funny about the Roxy intro scene was just scribbled in the margins as I was drawing; it wasn’t in the original script at all.

Scott Pilgrim script scan. So cool to see the thought process. Also it’s interesting how many of these decisions were done seemingly on the fly. Like, the story just called for them, and he made it happen. Listening to where it wants to go is so important. Definitely trying to do this kind of on-the-fly editing in my own work as well. Keeps it fresh.
