When I put the colors on this last night, all the values seemed wrong. The watercolor brush I had been using seemed fake and forced. So, I scrapped the values, kept the colors and put a luminosity layer on top to push and pull the values out. I’d never tried this way before; reminded me of a 2D ZBrush. I might start coloring Nightsmoke this way now.
